The undomestic goddess

Besides going to Sarakids, Sunday was also the undomestic goddess day! I actually spent nearly half of the day in the kitchen yo, which is so unlikely of me. I actually made trifle in the morning, and then some pancakes for brunch and then nasi + lauk for lunch. I know you have been lusting after my trifle kan ( cepat mengaku..haha) so here's how did I do it.

Trifle is so easy to make that even a hopeless case in the kitchen like me can do it! Might be a good idea to rope in your kids to help you with the preparation too- though I refrain from asking Husayn to help me since he will probably totally squeezed the life out of the whipped cream. Now, here we goes..

Trifle

Stuff for the trifle :
1 Swiss roll (bought two at Giant, First Choice brand, strawberry swiss roll. But one ended up being eaten by the tikus! Urgh!)
Jem strawberry (I bought the St Dalfour strawberry jam since that was the only jam I saw)
Fruit cocktail (my favourite is of course Del Monte's!)
Peach slices (bought Hosen's brand)
Whipped cream
Jelly (Jeli Nona is the best!)

For custard :
1 tin susu cair (I bought Ideal's evaporated milk because I found no susu cair at Giant!)
1 tin air
1/2 tin sugar
2 tablespoon custard + 1/2 cup water (bancuh)

1. To prepare the custard combine the Ideal's, plain water and sugar. Then add the custard mixture and mix everything together. Make sure it's not too pekat tau! Then cool it off for a while..

2. Slice the swiss roll and arrange it nicely in the casserole. Do you know the fruit cocktail juice? Pour some of the juice on the swiss roll but don't over do it! Next place the starberry jam, on top of the swiss roll.

3.Once the custard is cooled, pour the custard mixture on top of the jam. And then the fruit cocktail is next! Only the fruit cocktail ya, please don't include the juice.

4.Prepare the jelly and then once the jelly mixture is ready, placed the jelly on top of the fruit cocktail.

4. Once the jelly has hardened, layer the next layer with whipped cream.

5. Finally arrange the strawberry and peaches nicely on top! And put in the fridge for a few hours..and you're ready to eat!

Oh yes, I also made this baby pancakes, but Husayn complained "tak sedap la mama!" Haha. Memang nak kena ni.
I wish I have the maple syrup though. Here I just drizzled it with honey while my brother ate 3 of this thing with nutella and peanut butter. Heavenly!

On Sunday night my parents got back from sending my sister at Kota Bharu and they brought back this Kuih Seman. Haha. Lawak nama.
Totally taste like cotton candy and super ultra sweet! But I still wonder why they named this thing SEMAN. Anybody knows?

Sunday at Sarakids spelled D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R for me

I did go to that Sarakids get together yesterday. But I did not even meet the owner of Sarakids.
Think I'm bluffing ya? Here's the evidence:
Anyway I was really really late. It did not help that I was the one who is driving since there was a little bit 'problem' with husband. Sarakids is located at TTDI Jaya and me being forever hopeless with maps and directions just was really lost. Me and Husayn went out of the house around 3. It is supposed to be sort of pot luck and I promised Mommy Lyna I will bring something and guess what I did finally bring?

A mouth watering, got to have it, yummier than the yummiest mummy (ok saya merepek apa ni.haha) presenting yours truly, made with the tenderest hand (my hand lah tu! hihi) - TRIFLE!
But......nobody at the gathering managed to taste or even look at this trifle. You see, I was actually lost for one hour around Shah Alam that I nearly gave up and nearly go straight to the Federal Highway to go home. If not thinking that I have to pass Mommy Lyna's and FoxyFarah's prizes for the Malaysian Supermummy Amazing Blogger Award I would have gone straight home.

I finally reached the place at 4.30 and to think the gathering started around 2 something! Met Mommy Sofia at the parking lot and really, comel sangat Sofia tu! So there I was dragging Husayn along while holding the trifle in one hand. But of course then, Husayn has to scream and cry because he has this 'thing' with mingling around with strangers. I managed to meet up with Mommy Lyna and Foxy Farah and both of them were really nice though Husayn was literally screaming in their ears. I also managed to meet a few other's mommies.

But then as the screaming started to get to unbearable I guess I just have to go. I did not even manage to drink or eat anything at the gathering *sob*sob* And worst of all, since everything has been kacau bilau with Husayn's screaming, did not even manage to take any pics with the mommies, did not even manage to take part in the ramai-ramai photo session and I also had to take the trifle back with me. Haha. Now I really feel buruk siku! I would like to apologise since I had to leave in a rush and I did not even get to open the bekas trifle. Ish.
Anyway look at the above face. He stopped crying as soon as he enter the car!
We ended up at Taman Tasik Kelana Jaya where he was grinning happily playing at the park.
Memang nak kena Husayn ni..ish!

Baru tau yang Michael jackson dah mati

Betullah rambut Husayn Zharief ni macam Samy Vellu. Haha.

Saya cuti hari ni. Hoorey!

Trying to break the why-Malaysian-Supermummy-is-always-missing barrier

Did you know since I started blogging last year, I have not met any other bloggers in real life? Well ok, except for Kenny Sia, Simon Seow, Satkuru and Andrew but then they're not exactly my niche' so that does not really counts. And if you really are my friends in real life pun does not count ya (ini untuk kau Pizli..) !

I got countless invitations to birthday party from bloggers last year but I did not go to any since there seems to be ada je halangan on the last minute! The only bloggers gathering that I went last year is the Nuffnang Friso thing. I really wish Nuffnang will held the same thing this year though since that is the only place you got to meet bloggers' parents (am too old for Nuffnang party anyway..haha and going to the free movie thing under Nuffnang is not such a good idea with Husayn Zharief in tow. ) and you can get free Friso milk too!

I also missed the Malaysian Dreamgirl's finale at The Curve (rugi sebab kalau tak dapat jumpa blogger yang cantik tapi agak kooky iaitu Hanis Zalikha!) The other day got invitation to Buih Buih Cinta preview screening by Johnson & Johnson but have to decline too since it coincide with my futsal training. Then there's the Bio-Essence Tanaka White thing and I got selected but it was also a no-show for me since I cannot even walk that time since I was down with blister during my futsal match.

And just recently, I missed the MySuperkids' gathering since I have last minute arahan to attend the Inter Agency sports BUT..
I just confirmed with Mommy Lyna that I will be attending the Sarakids thingy so I really really wish and hope I will keep to my promise and actually show up. Heheh. So I can finally break the missing missing me barrier and mingle with other bloggers!

Before you guys start calling me anti social, tunggulah saya hari Ahad ni ya! By the way I still have no idea on what to bring for the potluck.

Should I tiru Bakerella and make this cheese-chocolatey lollipop? MAKE tau bukan beli..hahah..

Or go with the pudding and tiru tukang masak Malaysia terhebat iaitu Puan Hanieliza dan membuat pudding laici?

Or go all western and since I have tried lasagna maybe I should try the baked macaroni and cheese?
Or since I just finished the super yummy Kartika Sari's brownies that my brother bought in Bandung, you think I should make one too and see if it's taste the same? Haha..
I still cannot make up my mind. Help me!

10 things I hate about you, me and life in general

1. I hate people who cannot keep to their promises (well unless with good reasons-lah..i'm not that kejam)

2. I hate superiors who cannot even make the simplest decisions

3. I also hate superiors who make stupid decisions

4. I hate drivers who don't use their signal, well at least please use signal when you are right in front of other people's car.

5. I hate going to to the mall when I am broke

6. I also hate the fact that when I am broke, the clothing and shoes section at the mall seems much more nicer compared when I have the money to buy and everything will look dreadfully ugly fugly

7. I really, really hate my ultra big thighs. Did you know it took me ages to find the perfect pants to fit my thighs? Husband has some issue seeing me in tight fitting pants and honestly I also don't want to look like a sarung nangka or something. Kehkeh.

8. I hate people talking behind my back. Kalau berani cakap depan depan la wey!

9. I also hate the smell of durian and I no longer eat one. When I was 11, I was down with fever after a 12 hour journey from kota Bharu to Batu Pahat in a van with durian inside. It was really horrible and it made me swear off durian forever!

10. I also hate when I don't have any idea what to write on this blog and I feel my mind going all blocked and the feeling that you guys will go apa benda yang dia nak tulis ni but honestly I am really trying here! Haha.

Oklah, been talking too much crap lately, off to go search some ideas. Hihi. Tata.

Totally blissed out

Sorry for the almost non-entry today. Went for factory visits to 5 companies today and just got back here around 4. And then the office car went crazy and the car had to be driven at 20km/h on DUKE highway. Haha. I also just found out that someone else got to win the RM2,000 IKEA voucher! Ala frustnya:(

Anyway I just finished one whole bottle of Nestle Bliss and I feel so full already. I love anything dadih, yogurt or yogurt drink and the likes of it though most people at my house especially my mother really hate this yogurt thing and I wonder why.

By the way did you know one of the Malaysian Dreamgirl's girl drink and eat nothing but Yogurt?
That girl is Ming from MDG2 and she actually said to me that she only eat and drinks yogurt and then nothing else! She is of course so slim with flawless skin and ballerina pose and I have thousands of reasons in the world to envy her! Honestly I hate the fact that my face go all out breakout with pimples everywhere everytime it's that time of the month. If you know any products that will help do leave me a message.

Oklah nak prepare nak balik. Babai!

Marching at 8 in the morning will make you a brighter person

Saturday was the pinnacle of this inter agency sports things that I've been raving about. Husayn actually woke up at 6 and by 6.30 he was ready to go. I was supposed to attend this thing since I was involved in marching. This year's event is held at Stadium UIA and I thought the place was quite nice. I always thought the Gombak's UIA was nice anyway and it is sort of a quaint little town of its own.
Tekalah which one is my agency in the below pic? Haha. It was a torture standing still for one hour more or less and only managed to wiggle your toes. We have to win, win this perbarisan thing because last year we were the defending champions. As for me I was laughing at my club president who was marching in front of me the day before since he got it all wrong (tau tak yang jalan macam robot tu bila tersalah march? kaki kanan gerak tangan kanan pun gerak and so forth..haha) but guess what on the day of the event itself I was the one who managed that wrong move. Hahaha. Ok seriously, sendiri rasa kelakar. Kan dah kata, karma.

My husband somehow caught me in the camera smiling at myself when I got the wrong step. Hahaha. Oops, sekarang dah tau kan kontingen yang mana. Haha.

As for Husayn, look what he is up to on the track. It suddenly hit me that my son is growing up fast!
Oh I love this pic! Macam gambar anak gergasi sedang melihat sekumpulan orang orang kerdil. Kehkeh.

Anyway it was really tiring and most disappointed of all we did lose the perbarisan by 1 point! Husayn on the other hand, until this morning keep pestering me " mama..jomla pergi stadium!" Haha. And his other favourite question is "mama..mama nak pergi main ball ke?". I must have misled him that I am an athlete or something! Kehkeh. But really, next month we are supposed to resume our futsal training. I cannot wait..and I just realised since I stopped my futsal training 2 weeks ago I kept eating fattening stuff and it's really driving me crazy!

Selamat Hari Bapa Encik Zalani!

Hari ni adalah Hari Bapa! Macam manalah boleh terlupa. Malah belum wish pun bapa sendiri Selamat Hari Bapa hari ni. Secara seriusnya tak adalah prepare apa-apa special pun (macam mana nak prepare tarikh hari bapa pun asyik tak ingat! haha) Tak apalah ya abah, tunggu birthday nanti baru saya kasi hadiah. Kihkih. Kira jadilah 2 dalam 1. Sekarangkan kena berjimat. Haha.

Ha ni ada 10 fakta mengenai bapa.

Staff dia semua cakap macam tu. Saya pernah cakap kat mak saya kalau bapa saya tu bos saya mesti saya tensen dan tak suka. Hahaha.

2. Bapa saya juga adalah seorang yang penjimat. Bayangkan dia sanggup jahit seluar dia yang lubang tu dengan menampal kain atas lubang tu lepas tu selamba pakai seluar tu pergi pasar. Kalau saya beli baru je lah. Ataupun baik pakai track suit je pergi pasar. Alah pasar je pun kan. Jangan salah anggap, seumur hidup saya memang jarang sangat pergi pasar. Hahah.

Haha.

10. Bapa saya juga adalah seorang yang punctual. Di zaman sekolah menengah saya selalu kena tinggal sebab keluar lambat dan akibatnya kena balik sendiri naik beca. Mak saya jangan cakaplah. Dah banyak kali juga kena tinggal sebab lambat bersiap. Hahah.

Tapi apa-apapon kami sangat sayangkan bapa kerana walaupun garang, dia juga suka membuat lawak (contoh lawak: abah ni orang itali agaknya..sebab nama zalani..*alasan: kan nama orang itali selalu ada ending huruf i..contoh:maldini, capirossi dan lain-lain* hahah..tapi kalau anda tak paham tak apalah..) dan bapa juga sangat cool!

Selamat hari bapa Encik Zalani!

Please let me win the RM2,000 IKEA vouchers for the Go Clean Your Room Contest and I promise I will always keep my room clean at all times!

I deserve to win IKEA vouchers worth RM2,000 to makeover my room because ..husband, son and I've been living with my parents for 3 years, in the same room that I grow up, with doorless cupboard which is nearly as old as me, so help us IKEA, we really deserve to be 'cleaned'!

Yes, the above pic is really my room. And that was my entry for the IKEA Go Clean Your Room Contest. That contest ended on 17 June 2009 and me being fashionably late as always sent the entry at 11.30pm, which is like half an hour before the contest ended. I'm not expecting much, but still if selected to be the top 5 winner you got to win IKEA voucher worth RM2,000! And it would be super nice to replace the aging cupboard which is bursting with me and my Husband's clothes. Haha. In fact to tell you the truth, it's not actually bursting with clothes, in fact some of my clothes have to be placed somewhere out of the cupboard due to limited space.

You can view my entry for the above contest here and in here you can find gallery of the messiest rooms in Malaysia! You really don't get to see this kind of thing often..haha.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On another note, Mommy Lyna has invited me to attend the Sarakids Open Day on June 28 @ Shah Alam. By the way, she has also invited all of you to attend the event too! So if you are interested to attend do check out Mommy Lyna's blog or Sarakids blog for more details.
Am I coming? Most probably yes, but hopefully there will not be any last minute rush to somewhere else because that's what usually happen when I am supposed to attend bloggers event and I wonder why.

And lastly, there is a contest running in HOTfm now which the Top 3 prizes is a holiday with HOTfm DJ. All the audience need to send is a travel video (30sec - 1min) and a slogan on why they should be chosen to go on a holiday with their favourite HOTfm announcer.

Sleepless in Seattle I am not

I am so very tired because I have been standing for one and a half hour for the monthly assembly. I really wish I can take a break and have a holiday or something. Staying at home and sleeping 'til noon would be extra nice!

Back in my uni days, I am not exactly what you call a morning person. Nights will usually spend chit chatting my life away, hanging out with friends, going out for late night snack or if it's the time when assignment is due, we usually have last minute editing, designing, spray mounting everything until our room became all sticky. I usually slept after Subuh and woke up around noon and really, missing morning class is normal that I really feel like kicking my gut now because right now I am paying the Telekom loan for all my classes, which include all my missed classes. So, don't miss your class people, especially if you are paying your own loan. Heheh.

Bersama rakan-rakan mengumpat semasa masih belum melalui proses evolving. Hehe.

But somehow I have evolved and currently you won't find me waking up later than 9. I don't sleep after my Subuh prayer and well I did try sometimes, but it's not working and I wonder why. So after years of being a non-morning person I suddenly become a morning person but unfortunately the evolving process only involve me and not my husband. Haha. I don't have any idea how on earth he managed to wake up at noon and then he had his lunch and he can continue sleeping.

Oh yes, I also rarely sleep in my current office. I think I've slept once or twice but I think it is still quite an achievement since in my previous office I will happily sleep everyday. Haha.

As for Husayn, at home he won't sleep unless I put him in the buai or hisap nenen of course. But at the babysitter's he will lie on the mattress and finish his milk and then he will end up sleeping. So easy, I don't know how my babysitter did it! My babysitter just informed me the other day that Husayn has managed to consume 7 bottles of milk @ 7oz each the whole day he was at the babysitter's. Banyak tak tu? Haha..Nasib baik susu cap Dutch Lady je.
Selain minum susu, suka juga makan biskut berkoyan koyan..haha

Tuesday events and contests

I'm taking a break from organising any contest for a while, but here's some contests and events around the local blogsphere if you are interested:

Pertandingan Bayi Comel Babah-Mummy
Held in conjunction with Father's Day (when is Father's Day anyway? I am so so ignorant..haha), you need to send 3 high res pics of your kid and stand to win a photography package worth RM300!

English Playshop for Ladies

Organised by Coach Sha, this workshop is aimed at ladies and mommies out there and designed to develop confidence in using English. To register please email Coach Sha at sha@mycoachingzone.net

Win a bag of your choice @ Malaysia Online Baby Shops (MOBS)
Remember Malaysian Supermummy's previous win a bag of your choice from Alicewonders.com? Well, this time they are doing the same thing at MOBS, so if you missed the opportunity before, here's your chance again!

Win a Tutu! Picture Contest
Tutus are so cool! But I have a son so that rule me out of the contest. And most of my cousins are boys so that also totally rule me out. But if you have a daughter and would love to see her parading herself in a gorgeous tutu do enter this contest. Custom-made, extra puffy, it will all make you jump giddily. But be warn, this is strictly for kids only, not the mothers ya. I am not responsible if you end up looking like Madonna in the 80s . Heheh.

If you have any more parenting related events or contests in any other blogs that you know, do leave a comment and link to the info. Honestly I am so grateful for this online contests since I so rarely win any contest held in the newspaper. But online? Have already won a few!

Haish!

Lebiu soo muchies!
Selepas bermain futsal, makan pula di KFC. Inilah muka original saya tanpa mekap. haha. Nampak tak patung Colonel Sanders kat background tu? Husayn Zharief panggil Colonel Sanders tu Atuk Ayam. Kehkeh.

Oklah, nak sambung buat kerja. Babai semua!

Bye bye Ronaldo. It was good while it lasted but I am (secretly) glad that you are gone.

Catch any good news around the web lately? Here's some that I find:

Ronaldo sold to Real Madrid for 80 million pound

He's a ladies' man and he loves to wear his short extra tight!

I used to call Cristiano Ronaldo Mat Rempit because I think he look like one. I marvelled at his skill but I am not too fond of his attitude. Sure he's deadly at freekick, but still he's not Eric Cantona. If he want to do a David Beckham and go to Real Madrid then it's fine with me. But then to go holiday in Los Angeles and spend the night with Paris Hilton? Now I know why I don't like him much. Haha.

The H1N1 virus
I thought news about this virus has died down for the last few days, but Malaysia is currently with 11 cases of the H1N1. One of the director from our overseas' office was one of those quarantines when the first case breakout. Luckily he's fine now and back in New York, or else I think the whole office need to be quarantined too!

The Prince and Manohara

I thought this one is quite an interesting story. Well, who don't love gossip especially when it involves royalty and a beauty. The Kelantan prince has different story and Manohara also has her own story. Not sure which one to believe. Who do you believe? Or if you know the real story, mind sharing here? Haha. But she's drop dead gorgeous though.

Someone actually died at KLCC Park
I just read this one in NST and I thought "takutnya!" A 17-year old kid died after being electrocuted while leaning on an electric pole on Jan 1. Gosh, I mean it can happen to anybody! And to think that KLCC park is usually full of little kids. Careful ya.

Honestly these last few days I have been reading less and less newspapers. I am the kind of person who prefer to read newspaper in hand, not online. Anyway, tomorrow will be the day that I have been waiting for since it will be the futsal tournament so wish me luck there. Really need lots of it! Haha. And if you are coming to Mommy Lyna potluck gathering on Sunday, see you then! Still don't know what to bring though..urgh!

I leave you with this quote I found on Twitter. It's supposedly a Swedish proverb and I thought how true it is!

“Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I really need it.”

Happy weekend people!

Wearing a tudung is not a reason to look like crap. Haha.

I have been wearing tudung regularly since I started my university days. Initially I did not even bother to wear a tudung that cover my chest, but since I started dating Husband, some things do change. I started to wear serkup and I started to wear the tudung differently. Anyway today is be-a-vain day (yes, so I declare it but what the heck), so dig that photos and see for yourself the bad, the ugly and the sometimes boleh-lah side of my tudung style. Haha.

Ok, the above photos always make me cringe in embarassment everytime I see it. The pic was taken in 2005 I think and I look like crap. Haha. I was wearing the tudung bawal and I have the pizza face syndrome (translation: the pimples) and I could not even wear my tudung properly! But then pic like this make you remember how you look back then and make you scream in laughter everytime you see it. Haha. Anyway I do like wearing tudung bawal once in a while. Easy to style and not much fuss.

Haha..sorry for the pouty pose, I think I was trying to do an Angelina Jolie there. The tudung above is a Donatello and I really love the design and texture of the tudung. I usually style it the same way when I was wearing the tudung bawal. One pin at the back of your head and then selit the hujung of the tudung inside. And you're ready to go!

I lovee this Tudung Dubai because I don't need to iron the tudung and I can simply sarung the tudung without worrying of any crease. Anyway this tudung is courtesy of my auntie in Abu Dhabi and really love the design!

This pink darling is actually a long shawl and I bought it way back in 2005 at Jusco Midvalley for Hari Raya. I like this tudung, only thing is sometimes it is so hard to style especially the top of my head area that I feel like snapping the nearest tudung dubai instead! This tudung can be style in many ways since it's a long shawl but my favourite style is fold the end of the tudung into a triangle. And then just lilit all the way!

I think I have posted this pic before and this tudung is actually a quite small square tudung so I ended up wearing this one like the above instead like the Donatello. The above is actually a tudung Mortada and to wear like the above, instead of folding the tudung into triangle, you just wear the hujung of the tudung and then just lilit yourself away and you're good to go! I usually wear this one with 4 pins and 3 brooches so it's kind of leceh sometimes.

Oh I hate this tudung because of it's texture but had to wear it due to an event last year. The size of the tudung is smaller than the Mortada and I had to wear my anak tudung outside a lil bit.

Hopefully that will help those who have no idea on how to style those tudung. I'm too lazy to do a step by step thing but if you have any burning questions, do email me. I'll try to help as much as I can.

p/s: I just read the news today and just found out that actor Shukery Hashim has passed away. I saw a lot of dramas on tv with him as the actor and I don't even know that he was sick all this while. Alfatihah.

5 songs that you can play if you want to torture me

I totally loveee listening to Lady Gaga's while driving, whether it's Just Dance, Pokerface and her latest- Paparazzi! Ok so she has some weird fashion sense but her songs are the kind that make you go all gung-ho in the morning and bobbing your head while driving. Even Husayn danced to Lady Gaga's on the radio while shouting "Po-po-po-po" for Pokerface!

Anyway I am going to list the top 5 songs that I really cannot stand. Which means everytime it's on I'll either change the radio channel or off the radio. I know songs are subjective, so some of you might like these below songs, and you might say "apahal dia ni tak suka lagu ni" but then I guess each to his or her opinions.

1. Aku Tak Percaya Cinta - Liyana Jasmay
This girl should just stick to acting. I have been hearing this song everywhere lately and I usually feel like smacking the radio everytime I hear this song. "Tak tiru Avril Lavigne.." she said, but my Husband will usually retort back " dah sebiji macam Avril Lavigne kata tak tiru pulak.." Coincidence or she just did not want to admit? Whatever it is, if you feel like torturing me, you can strap me to a chair and make me listen to this song over and over again.

Liyana Jasmay memang cute, tapi di harap teruskan berlakon. Kehkeh

2. Ning Baizura - Mimpi
I think it's the Malay version of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams are made of this...who am I to disagree.." and HotFM/ ERA have been playing this song a couple of times. But I really wish she made some other song. I've no idea why her singing this song made me cringe but really, if you want to hear a cool cover version of Sweet Dreams, do listen to Marilyn Manson's version. Totally super cool. And scary, well scary if you see his face-lah. Haha.
Ok, takut kan tengok gambar Marilyn Manson ni? hihihi

3.Selamat Ulang Tahun Sayang - Imran Ajmain
I am so sorry I have to hate this song since I know a few people who love this song and I wonder why. Please don't sing me this song even though it's our anniversary (this is to Husband) or it's my birthday. But if you do sing, I'll try to be polite and smile as sickly sweet as possible. Haha.

4. Akon - Beautiful
Akon to me is the definitive miang black guy. Kehkeh. Currently though I will switch the channel if I hear "you're so beautiful..so damn beautiful" since that is the song that radio channel will play over and over. You have to read this post by AkuBimbo about Akon though. Eh tapi tau tak my grandmother's handphone ring tone is I wanna make love na..na..na..by Akon? Haha. Lawak betul..

5. Any songs by Jonas Brothers
I cannot hear the brothers nasal-ear-tearing voice. I am sorry for being so rude here but please, please not this kids. I used to love Hanson's Mmmbop back in secondary school and I think they sound waaay okay than Jonas brothers and Hansons are a bunch of brothers too. My 13 year old cousin like Jonas Brothers so much that his Friendsters are so full with the pics of the brothers. But he's only 13 so I of course thought that was amusing. hehe.
Nah gambar ada autograph Jonas Brothers.

I guess that's all..I know there's a few more but I cannot recall. Do you have any songs that will make you cringe or wish the singer will just shut up?

I am not too posh to push. I am just so damn scared.

I sometimes get 'that look' when I said I gave birth to Husayn via c-section. Until today I think I've chickened out during those intense labor moments. I do feel like a failure sometimes whenever I think of the time that I did not manage to push Husayn out of me. Oh and somebody on the net did mention that mommy who choose c-section is selfish.

First of all, I would like to clarify that it was the doctor that suggested I undergo the c-sect. Husayn was nearly lemas in there and his heartbeat is getting too low for comfort. My mother did say the doctor was probably creating excuses to make more money since I gave birth at a private hospital. But then to be honest, during the chaos of giving birth I don't really care. I just want my baby to be delivered safely and c-sect or not, it does not matter.

Have you ever heard the term too posh to push? According to Urban Dictionary here, it means "Prospective mothers who opt to have an elective caesarean section rather than give birth vaginally. The women who make this choice are usually thought to be of higher class and wealthier. The choice for a c-section is made because it's thought to be more convenient as well as less painful and distasteful". And their best examples are Victoria Beckham and Britney Spears. Well, I think most Hollywood celebrities opt for c-section anyway.

My favourite Hollywood c-sect kid is none other than Kingston Rossdale - Gwen Stefani's kid!

I honestly don't think undergoing c-sect is less painful though. After my c-sect it took me nearly 2 weeks to walk properly, laugh or cough without the pain and more weeks to breastfeed your child while lying on your side. If I have a choice for my future second kiddo, I honestly will try the normal birth procedure first. After all my mother keep saying that c-sect kid is more hardheaded and degil compared to normal birth kid. And Husayn is certainly trying his hard to set a new standard in the family in this area..hahah. So I would love to see whether what my mother said is true or just a myth. Oh well..

The world is peaceful when he is asleep. heheh

ps:Anybody going to Mommy Lyna's pot luck gathering at Taman Tasik Shah Alam this Sunday? I will probably be there but I have my futsal tournament the day before..so I hope my legs will function just fine. Hehe..

Apa khabar orang kampung, lama sudah tak berjumpa?

Taktau apa angin, asyik nak taip dalam BM je. Haha..Ok sorry sebab lambat update.

Kesian Uncle Nabil. Setiap kali Uncle Nabil nampak Husayn Zharief dia akan lari cepat-cepat. Isk.

Selepas penat bermain minum air sepuasnya. Isk. Oklah, babai!

Kenangan di universiti adalah kenangan kegemaran

Tiba-tiba hari ni saya macam tersedar saya dah nak 28 tahun. Dua bulan lagi lah! 10 tahun lepas saya baru nak masuk MMU.

I miss u pakcik.

5. Gagal subjek 3d animation sebab malas pergi kelas dan malas siapkan assignment dan terpaksa ulang balik ambik subjek tu. Masa tau gagal sangat takut nak cakap kepada bapa kerana bapa adalah orang yang sukakan anak cemerlang tapi saya agak kurang. Tapi bila akhirnya saya cakap kepada bapa saya tambah la sikit ayat - "..tapi ramai orang dalam kelas along (yang bermakna saya) fail jugak.." Haha.

Tapi duit memang masyuk!

8. tak pernah pergi kelas tutorial Ekonomi sebab nak tengok Yo Soy Betty La Fea.

Haha. Ok lah, esok nak balik Kampung Parit Semarang di Batu Pahat kerana ada kenduri arwah atuk. Dah lama tak balik kampung. Bolehlah pergi ke Wellward atau BP Mall! Haha.

I am ok and it is ok

To all mothers, got this from here.

It is ok if it sucks.
It is ok if you cry.
It is ok if you aren’t sure what the hell you’re doing.
It is ok if you can’t nurse.
It is ok if you hate people that tell you your child is a joy when you are just SO MOTHER EFFING TIRED.
It is ok if you seek help.
It is ok if you decide to take medication.
It is ok if it takes you three months to honestly say you love your baby.
It is ok.

I know. Because I am ok.

*Another lazy entry because I got some factory visit to dash off to. Catch with ya all later!

My bad.

Mesti menangis tanpa henti.

Oklah bye bye, selamat cuti sekolah!

The no photos entry. I guess I am just too lazy.

I went to sleep at 9 something last night and still the body still aches and I think i need my sister super power massage. It has been a crazy and tiring week and to think it's only Tuesday! On Saturday we went to a wedding at Klang with the whole family. Husayn kept screaming he wanted to ride his atuk's car (my father-lah) so I of course granted his wishes.

I also had a 'fight' with my husband after that since we were supposed to attend his cousin's wedding on Sunday, but I kept insisting I just HAVE to play futsal match on Sunday afternoon. The problem is the wedding is in Port Dickson and we finally strike a truce when he agreed to go to the wedding early and by 2.30pm we made our way back from port Dickson since I was supposed to play at 4pm.

At 4.30pm we arrived at Jalan Kuching to play futsal and there were only 5 of us. We are supposed to have this 5-side matches but by the time the first half is finished, it was raining heavily. So they postponed the matches to 8pm. We went back home first as I ironed my Monday work clothes, and then at 8pm we went to Segambut to continue the match. Thank goodness we are playing indoor this time! Husayn of course was there to watch me play but ended up sleeping halfway.

We arrived home at nearly 12am after that, and I took a warm bath. Then it's on to the prizes for the Supermummy Amazing Blogger Award. I finished preparing all the prizes, so to all winners, expect your prize to hit your home/office soon! There's 3 exception though..I will probably attend Mommy Lyna's potluck on the 14th so I will pass her the prize during that event. Babah-Mummy, please give me your address for prize arrangement, ya! And to Foxy Farah, I will probably drop by your house since I have trouble wrapping the prize. Anything I'll just buzz you..

Well, I guess that's all my mundane update for today. I still have loads of things to finish with piling workload, extra work for office's club, some factory visits, and another 5 hours of futsal training. If you are wondering why on earth I suddenly start to play futsal, we are supposed to have our inter agency games this month and if I am selected I will be playing on the 13th!

ps: forgot to tell you that the Tini's Spa voucher is an express facial voucher worth RM48 and not RM88 like I mentioned before. Sorry for the inaccurate info ya!

Pooping after eating telur pindang is not my idea of a fine Sunday morning

Sunday morning, Husayn woke up at 4.a.m. 4.a.m, my goodness!

He was screaming at me - "Mama bangunlah..pegilah buat air! Jomlah turun!" while I of course was mumbling to myself "ala tidurlah..mama ngantuk ni". But of course once he made up his mind there's no turning back.

Look what he did while we were downstairs. .

Eating telur pindang at the stairs. Earlier we went to my father's best friend wedding. So we like, have loads of telur pindang in da' house (dah jadi hip hop mode pulak..haha).I can't never eat the plain telur or telur pindang like Husayn did. And especially not at 4 in the morning.

Well, of course if he feel too full (well, I'm guessing here) or if he is being playful or if he is feeling like testing for my patience, he will simply throw the telur pindang away, which he actually did after this pic was taken.

After that he 'attacked' the refrigerator and found this Milo. If I eat and drink like him in the above I will surely get a diahrrea one hour later. Haha. But Husayn did not get diahrrea. He just pooped. I was in front of the pc at 6 something in the morning when he suddenly said..
Husayn : "Mama..adik beraklah"
Me :"Betul ke ni?"
Husayn :"Betulll...adik berak.."

So I cleaned everything up and even bathed him. And at 7 something in the morning he was peacefully sleeping in the hammock, I mean the buai lah..I simply write hammock but don't even know whether it's the right term or not. Haha.
Yes, that is the view inside the hammock. He insisted on sleeping with that sheep (which I actually found out later that it was really a cow!) and we called that thing Shaun, you know as in Shaun the Sheep. If you have not watched Shaun the Sheep, do watch it at Cartoon Network I think. But really them sheep are the funniest sheep I've ever seen! And ironically, Husayn also called that sheep/cow Shaun!

Anyway I am damn sleepy today since last night I played four games of futsal and went back home at nearly 12 midnight. And this morning I woke up at 7.30. Ngantuknyaaaa! And I think this futsal thing is getting very addictive too!
