Dream a little dream of me

Have you ever dreamed of being with another man besides your husband?

Oh yes, I am so guilty of this! It's not that I ever dream (as in pasang angan angan) to be with another man but I accidentally dreamed (mimpi-lah tu!) of being with another man. Once I even dreamed about being in a some sort of love triangle and I ended up saying goodbye to Husband. The other dream I caught myself having an affair behind my husband back (gasp!). The most recent one was the weirdest. I actually dreamt of having a relationship with Eric Cantona. You can refer to this post if you don't know who on earth is Eric Cantona.

I wonder what do all the above tell me about me. But then, I thought it's just my mind running amok unconsciously, or maybe I have been repressing my feeling with my Husband too many times. Anyway I guess I've been kinda melancholic lately and been thinking too much. Oh by the way, a few years back, my friend dreamed that I was dead. That was spooky. Haha.

Enough of my melodramatic ranting, I just found out this cool Islamic academy website where they have swimming, archery and music class for kids! Cool or what. And me being a kiasu mother have already dream of sending Husayn to all these classes. As for the music class, I thought sending him to a drum class would be a good thing to express his anger. Not that he's an angry kid, but then instead of hitting people, it's better to hit the drum lah kot. Haha. Oh yes, here's the website to Akademi Al fan.
Lastly, selamat hari pekerja and I will probably spend the extra long weekend lounging at home. Oh, so boring! By the way today is the last day people! Keep on voting and I will announce the top 10 tomorrow and then we'll be on to the final round! Good luck yaa!

Some strange way to store your milk and the story of Harry and Charlie

Got the below forwarded email from a friend and I thought it was hillarious. OK, so I know some people will scream exploiting women's assets whatsoever but I thought it's fine to poke fun at those assets once in a while. Haha.

Sunday at A:fair Weekend and some titbits about Rita Rudaini

I went to the above bazaar on Sunday. It was held at Solaris Mont Kiara, and since one of my friend, Jamie opened a booth selling cupcakes there, I decided to drop by with Husband and Husayn in tow.
Husayn and I were somehow in the very same colour ensemble! We wore red top and black pants. This is my first time going to this kind of bazaar and I think it was really cool! It is sort of a gathering for all online shop owners. And best of all, you got to see the items in front of your own eyes. Some tops are even being let go at RM10 per piece! Nice or wot?
My friend Jamie has just launched her online cupcakes shop here. I got to buy her cuppies at RM1 each since they are closing shop, but unfortunately all the chocolate ones were finished yesterday! Jamie actually quit her full time day job to concentrate on doing all these cuppies, cakes, muffins or anything that need to be baked business.
These are some of her cupcakes. She also made the little chocolate ball thingy and that one is certainly my favourite!
Oh yes, the above is the RM10 tops! Unfortunately not one in my size! Nampak sangat dah gemuk. Haha.
While Husayn got excited looking at all the cars/buses/lorries at the below highway. And the building above is actually my office! Kudos to the organiser for choosing this windy, panoramic view area! Heheh..

By the way I found this pic of Rita Rudaini @ 6 months of her pregnancy on the net. I thought her husband don't look that young in the pic despite the issit 10 years gap? Kahwin lari or not, Rita Rudaini look aww seweeeet. I rarely layan all those dramas on Astro (though I really looove the advertisement for Megadrama! ) but I like watching Rita in this Cinta Gila drama. And Aaron Aziz is not looking so bad either! Haha.

The fallen hero

Kesian sangat Mohammed Husayn Zharief! Bibir dah menjadi tebal seperti Angelina Jolie! We were in front of my colleague's house who was organising her daughter's birthday when he accidentally tripped and fell - and landed on the tar road. Blood was gushing out of his lip and there was scratch on his forehead, he was of course crying his heart out.

Anyway it was the shortest time ever we spend at birthday party. My husband ate first while I took care of Husayn. By that time, the blood has stopped but the crying did not. Fortunately, the room where my friend shooed us in was full of toys. But of course that did spell another problem. Husayn did not want to go out of the room because he wanted to play with the toys.

Later that night, we went to my auntie aka Husayn's babysitter engagement kenduri for her daughter. Everybody was of course asking what had happened. But Husayn was of course being himself. Running here and there and sempat lagi tarik rambut this one girl and nearly scratched another kid's face to my horror!

Anyway his lips are getting better as of this morning. The swollen has reduced and he has been eating non stop just like his usual self to my utter amazement- including oranges. I thought oranges will make the cut hurt considerably, but he look normal and I wonder why.

Apabila Mohammed Husayn Zharief tidur pada setiap malam saya akan teringatkan lagu Smashing Pumpkins iaitu Farewell and Goodnight. Walaupun Smashing Pumpkins adalah sebuah band hebat yang kelihatan ganas, tapi lagu Farewell and Goodnight adalah seperti lullaby yang menenangkan. Tapi nampaknya Husayn adalah lebih ganas kerana dia suka tidur di dalam buai sambil memeluk lori yang panjangnya seperti dirinya. Bila sesiapa cuba mengeluarkan lori tersebut dari buai ketika dia tidur dia akan tersedar dan menangis. Begitulah betapa sayangnya dia kepada lori panjang. Pernahkah anda memerhatikan muka anak anda bila tidur? Memang sangat tenang dan saya yang sangat sentimental orangnya pernah sekali menangis apabila melihat Husayn Zharief tidur, dan saya berkata kepada diri sendiri "alangkah besarnya anugerah Allah ini kepada saya" ataupun "macam tak percaya sudah ada anak". Dan percaya atau tidak, bau leher Husayn Zharief yang sangat masam apabila berpeluh ataupun bila bangun dari tidur adalah bau yang paling saya sukai lebih dari apa-apa minyak wangi di dunia. Serius macam bau bantal busuk yang sungguh addictive!

Mesej saya di hari Jumaat ini adalah sayangilah anak anda dan apabila rasa nak marah dia sebab dia sibuk nak suruh anda bermain bersama dia setelah anda sangat penat apabila balik kerja (lepas tu kena drive dan mengharung masalah lalulintas pula!), sila tarik nafas dan tenunglah muka anak anda dalam-dalam dan layan je lah.
Ok, sebenarnye ini adalah peringatan untuk saya :)
Sebab nanti bila anda dah tua dan memerlukan dia pula, insya Allah dia akan layan karenah anda dengan senang hati sebab masa dia kecil anda rajin bermain permainan lori ataupun membuatkan playdoh berbentuk gajah atau lori untuk dia.

Enter your desired (ceh desired konon..mcm saya nombor 50 di atas tu je yang ada..haha) amount, your ASB account and then just continue.

Weekend at Midvalley

Me, Husayn and Husband went to the Dinosaurs and Monsters Exhibition at Midvalley during the weekend. Husband was already fuming seeing the RM12 entrance. But of course I was so persistent he ended up relenting to my request. Thank goodness Husayn got to enter for free.

Husayn of course was screaming "Mama! Tak nak! Tak nak!" everytime I came near any dinosaurs or serangga. I quite like how those monsters and dinosaurs move and the tarantula above was really grizzly! Oh did I mention you they not only move kiri and kanan, they also have sound effects.

All the small insects like ants and scorpions have been blown up to big size, it make me feel like I'm on the set of the movie Honey, I shrunk The Kids!

Honestly, I think it was quite a good exhibition but given the size of the place which to me is quite small, the ticket is too pricey! Husband said they should charge only RM5 or RM6 only. Haha. So I'd say don't go if RM12 is the last money you have in your pocket. It will only make you pissed off after looking at the ticket. Well, the best example is my Husband who kept muttering "rugi je bayar RM12 ni...makan kfc lagi bagus" hahah.

Anyway we ended up bringing Husayn to Jusco so he got to play with the below car. Of course he went kelam kabut in that area because there are so many things to play.

All in all, I thought it was quite a good day! Well, as long as I got to spend it with Husband and Husayn..

Supermummy featured in Tech & U, NST - and I nearly missed it!

I was browsing through NST yesterday and I accidentally stumbled upon this

And thank you to all you lovely readers for without you guys, this blog will not even become what it is today (ok sorry-dah mcm ucapan anugerah popular berita harian pulak.haha). Anyway if you want to read the article do click here. By the way contrary to what the writer wrote in the first paragraph, I have never ever think of myself as a supermom. Wonder where she got that..haha. These are my exact words to her in the email interview:

"I don't know what actually inspired me to use "supermummy" but I guess it is some sort of sarcastic remark at myself since I am so far from being a supermummy! "

But then it's ok lah. Tak marah pun. Just want to point out that fact. Nanti orang kata perasan pulak dia ni supermom. Heheh.

**Other random updates**
- Went to the Dinosaurs and Monsters Exhibition on Sunday. I'll do a review about that tomorrow. But I have to agree with Hafizah's comment on my Monsters & Dinosaurs entry:
"hi intan...i pegi tadi bwk my 5yr old and 9yr old (twin) nephews.The boys were quite dissapointed..and asyik ckp, ni aje ke? mostly yg ada, robotic rubber dino, yg gerak2 skit skit, takat toleh kepala kiri n kanan n some display on bugs. pastu ada la bunyi2, suara dino from some big speakers.tp yg paling diorang suka is the robotic spider, which they can control its movement. tp tu pun, macam da rosak sikit."

- Remember this entry? Well I finally managed to book tickets to Langkawi. And guess which air carrier did I choose? It's Firefly! Surprise surprise! I nearly booked Air Asia yesterday but somehow I also missed their RM1 offering to Langkawi. And I ended up checking Firefly first. RM210 for 3 people who is going to be flying from Subang which is not that far from my house. The arrival and departure timing is perfect too. So I'm thankful for that.

Two things nearly made me cry - watching Man U crashed and eating my self-baked lasagna!

I came to work today bleary eyed because I slept at 2am watching Manchester United self destruct and said goodbye to the quintuplets. It was a really boring match and I felt like hitting each and every single Man U's players. Losing sucks, and losing in a penalty shoot out is the worst thing ever, and then losing to Everton at Wembley in FA Cup?

I've watched the last time Everton beat Man U in FA Cup. It was 1995 and it was the FA Cup Final. It was the worst season ever and it was the season when Eric Cantona kung fu kicked a spectator.

Dulu saya ada poster di atas dan tampal di bilik. Kolar naik itu tiada siapa boleh melawannya.

I remember crying after the match. And last night? Well, honestly there was this big lump in my throat but the tears never came. Husband gave his smirked looking at those penalties missed, but of course he was gloating since his Liverpool also has 'successfully' crashed out of the FA Cup. So that make the two of us! By the way, I was so tensed watching the penalties shoot out that I ended up eating 3 breads with sinfully rich Nutella chocolate at 2 in the morning.

Anyway weekend has been great! I finally managed to cook my very first lasagna! It was so glorious I nearly cried eating it! Haha..ok, kidding. But anyway I wish I did soaked or boiled the instant lasagna in water or something to make it softer because it will be a whole lots nicer.

Look at that cheese and sprinkled italian herbs..serius sedap!

And here's the recipe:

• 1 bungkus daging / ayam kisar
• 1 tin sup tomato (I used Leggo's tomato paste for this one, but is it the same with sup tomato? I honestly don't know. So hentam saja!)
  
• 1 - 2 tin sup cendawan (mine is Campbell)
  
• 1 botol bolognese sauce (I used Leggo's)
• 1 tin cendawan butang
• 1 paket mozarella cheese
  
• Italian herbs
  
• garam & lada hitam
• 1 biji bawang besar - potong dadu
• 4 ulas bawang putih - potong dadu
• 1 kotak kepingan lasagna ( lebih baik rebus dulu )

Cara-cara

1. bawang besar dan bawang putih ditumis.
2. Masukkan daging / ayam kisar dan goreng sebentar. Masukkan sos bolognese, garam, lada hitam, Italian herbs, dan cendawan. Masak hingga hampir kering, jangan terlalu berair.
3. Sediakan baking dish yang nak digunakan dengan menyapu sedikit butter / magarine di keliling.
4. Taburkan satu lapisan nipis daging kisar tadi di bawah baking dish.
5. Kemudian letak satu lapisan kepingan lasagna. Pastikan seluruh lapisan daging tadi ditutup.
6. Di atas lapisan kepingan lasagna letakkan satu lapisan sup cendawan
7. Di atas lapisan sup cendawan letak satu lapisan sup tomato pula.
8. Di atas lapisan sup tomato ulangi dengan satu lapisan daging dan ulangi langkah 4 - 7 . Pastikan lapisan paling atas adalah lapisan sup tomato. ( jangan buat banyak sangat lapisan nanti tinggi sangat )
9. Di atas lapisan sup tomato taburkan mozarella cheese. ( Lagi banyak lagi sedap ) Taburkan Italian herbs di atas cheese.
10. Bakar dalam oven dengan suhu 180 C selama 15 - 20 minit . Nak test kalau dah masak cucuk bahagian tengah hingga ke bawah kalau kepingan lasagna tak keras lasagna sudah masak. Pastikan cheese tak hangus!

I wish I could say that invented the above recipe myself..haha. But honestly all credits come from this website. And you will see that I copy paste the above words, but I edited a little teeny weeny bit-lah. Want to continue sulking for the rest of the day. Bye bye.

Monsters and dinosaurs in the city

It's nearly the weekend again! Yay! Friday always seems so nice and breezy, while Monday is always a drag. Anyway what's your weekend plan? If you are nearly broke like me (well, approximately 7 days until payday and I am counting!) and don't know where to go, then I'd suggest let's go to the Backyard Monsters & Dinosaurs Exhibition at Midvalley!

The exhibition will start tomorrow until 17 May so I think there's still plenty of time should we cannot make it this weekend (yesss, I plan to drag Husband and Husayn there!) Entry is RM12 for adult and RM8 for student/children 18 years and below, but best of all kids under 4 years old got to enter it for free!

Procrastination has cost me my flight ticket!

Remember the consolation prize from The Lil Caliph's contest? The prize only covered the accomodation only, so I have to search (and pay of course!) for flight on my own. So yesterday was spent comparing fares between Fireflyz, Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia. I plan to travel around my birthday which is in early August so I was hoping to get reasonable (if not dirt cheap of course!) priced tickets since August is so far away.

Please bear in mind I did this around midnight yesterday. So thinking that my house is not that far from the Subang airport, I tried the Fireflyz first. But take a look at the price below:
RM809.70 for 3 person? That was totally outrageous since Fireflyz is supposed to be low budget and all that. And the travel period is so far away, they did not even have any discounts for that. Affordable? I don't think so..

Then came Air Asia. They have this RM1 promo starting on 1 August so I was hoping to score some good bargain there. And this is what came out:


I did get the RM1 price for the outbound flight to Langkawi, but then the flight is at 6.50pm so I guess it's quite late. The total price is RM288 for 3 person so I guess it is quite okay though not as cheap as I hope. I did check the price if the return flight is priced at RM1 each, the total cost including tax would be RM186. But then the timing is so not appealing. I mean why would I want to go back from Langkawi at 10pm? What on earth are we going to do after we check out?

And then came the surprise of 'em all that nearly knocked me out of my seat.

The above is of course from Malaysia Airlines. And they are charging RM246 for 3 person, and that is really the total price. I thought the system was wrong or something, but then it was really true! And the worst thing about that was I was so tired last night that I thought of booking the tickets this morning, but then look what happen:
Price has gone up to RM519! Tensennya saya! Itulah pengalaman yang amat menyedihkan. Urgh!

Definitely going to Langkawi and some random rantings

I was browsing through The Lil Caliph's website yesterday when I saw this:

By the way did anybody watch the Anugerah Bintang Popular last weekend? I honestly think Adlin Aman Ramlie failed miserably as the host. Lawak tak kelakar langsung,beb! Haha.

And my Persona is going for its first 1000km service today. I felt so dumb because I did not realised the seat belt of my card does not have the buckle to wear the seatbelt. I thought it was kind of weird since I have never seen a car without that buckle, but then with Proton, it's not that weird of a case kan? Hah!

By the way, I am one of those Twilighters who keep hoping that Kristen Stewart will ditch her current boyfriend- the very much insecure Michael Angarano and go for Robert Pattinson. Read this and tell me what do you think.

It's not exactly a birthday party, it's a small gathering of a family!

Husayn's small birthday party was a blast. We only had two other family coming so it was quite a small gathering of family. Husayn of course was his usual self, oblivious to the fact that it was indeed his 2nd birthday!

My mother cooked some soto, nasi ayam, pulut kuning, a litle bit of rendang and also popiah. I was too full by the time I finished one bowl of soto, that I just realised today that I did not even taste the nasi ayam!

The birthday cupcakes was by Ellie. Ellie was a friend back in my former office and currently she's working full time while doing this cupcake business. If you look closely the above cupcakes have Thomas & friends image on it and Husayn was screaming to have that cupcakes the first time he saw it because of Thomas!

Uncle Irfan (left) and Uncle Ian (right), both are Husayn's uncles, were the only two other kids in the house besides Husayn. But when they played together, it felt like there were 30 other kids! Jerit sana dan jerit sini. Haha. Pening pening.

Nenek Mummy and Nenek Ucuk - Nenek Ucuk is pregnant and Husayn is going to have baby uncle/auntie soon! Anyway it has been a great gathering espcially since Nenek Ucuk and Uncle Irfan live so far in Abu Dhabi, but then come to think of it, they go back to Malaysia more frequently than I go back to my kampung!

By the way thank you so so much for all the lovely birthday wishes!

My Husayn will turn 2 tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Mohammed Husayn Zharief's 2nd birthday! Oh how time flies. No fancy party which I was quite disappointed since I have imagined inviting all my friends to come over but my hope was dashed due to some reason. But then we will have really small celebration tomorrow so I hope that everything will turn out fine. Anyway here's 10 cold hard facts about Husayn's birth

1. I was due to give birth on 4 April 2007, but ended up giving birth on the 11th.

2. I took MC starting from my due date because I was too big and too lazy to go to work.

3. I love the fact that my contraction started at 4am when I was watching a Champions' League match between Manchester United and AS Roma and Man U actually won the match 7-1. It was quite painful as the blood kept coming out, but that still could not contain my excitement watching Man U won the match! Fyi, been supporting the Red Devils since I was 13. Hoho.

4. I went to the hospital at 9am. My hospital was Kelana Jaya Medical Centre which is very near my house.

5. The doctor was having a hard time trying to make me spread my legs. I hate when she has to do that vagina examination! Urgh!

6. And the nurse was really frustrated at me and muttered at me "Intan, bukakla kaki..macam mana awak nak bersalin ni?"

7. I was 5cm dilated when the doctor managed to check me. I screamed for epidural. Gosh, how did people managed to bersalin half a dozen with no problem at all?

8. I managed to spread my legs at last and I tried to push Husayn out as I nearly strangled my husband for holding him too tight. I tried and I tried..

9. But ended up on operation table anyway. I actually felt the scalpel when the doctor sliced open my stomach. So I asked to the doctor "tolonglah bagi saya pengsan terus!" The doctor said to me "eh nanti awak kena bayar banyak lagi ni.." And me nearly pengsan with the pain simply replied " takper.." Seriously, at the time I just want Husayn out of me safe and sound- but money-wise, I can always work and find more money. Haha.

10. Finally at 12.58pm I gave birth to Husayn Zharief. He was 3.6kg and 56cm long. And that was how my life changed forever!
ps: Did any of you catch the new HBO original series True Blood last night, which I think resemble Twilight due to its vampiristic theme. I was hooked! But I thought Edward Cullen still look a whole lot more better than Bill Compton (the vampire leading man in True Blood!) .Anyway, True Blood is truly sexaaay show!

Sookie, the human who can read mind and her love interest Bill the vampire. But Sookie cannot read Bill's mind. Sounds familiar?

This blog was so messed up yesterday for don't know what reason that I nearly changed the template. But after a few fixing up here and there, everything went normal. But I ended up having to reinstall all my widget and some other stuff at my sidebar.

I also have successfully managed to hit my dad's Pajero this morning as I was reversing my car. The Persona is fine with a little teeny weeny scratch but I feel so not-in-the-mood at all for the moment.

Honestly I feel like going out of the office and take a haircut or something (ada kaitan kah? haha) to make myself feel better.

Wake up it's a beautiful morning, but not so beautiful when you have to wake your husband!

I know that no man likes his wife to boss him around. But I just can't help it when I try to wake up my husband from his too deep sleep every morning. God knows I have tried this "awak bangunlah.." with voice as soft as possible. I found this one working the other day.."kalau rasa-rasa nak kemas katil sendiri, tidurlah lama sikit.." Haha. Reverse psychology and cynicism do work sometimes.

And he also took soooo very long time to bathe, wear the clothes, sit in front of the mirror, it really make me super mad at most times. I will be surprised if I don't suffer from high blood pressure soon.

If I started nagging, that he will said that I am so tak sabar, but what the heck, I so like things go efficient and fast and if you have husband like mine I think someday I am gonna die from being so sabar. Hahaha.

That's why I think I like staying at my parents' because I get to ask him do this and that (for example asking him to wash Husayn's poo which he so rarely did!) in front of my parents and he will certainly do it, no problem. My husband said this to me the other day- "Husayn Zharief ni 200% ikut perangai awak!" when Husayn was crying and throwing tantrum.

But you know what, I think I don't mind Husayn following my suit and perangai. At least if there is one thing I cannot stand of it is being late all the time! Anyway don't get me wrong, I love my Husband but I hope he improve before Husayn starts nagging at him himself. Oh it would be so lovely to have Husayn on my team and we can tag team each other to paksa Husband to wake up! Haha.

House of sick people and I think I look better in pink or purple. Hah!

My weekend was full of headache. Husband was down with fever on Friday and Husayn with his terrible sounding cough and he also was down with fever on Saturday. And on Saturday Husband's left side of face has swollen like watermelon, that I know he hurts so bad, but I can't help but thought it was quite funny seeing his face like that. Kehkeh. Memang kesian.

That watermelon face was the result of a swollen gum and I thought it was really terrible since the face remains the same 'til this morning. But I don't have the heart to take his pic since I know he will halau me out of the room. Kehkeh. But Husayn is getting better. Feed him the madu asli every morning and I think it makes much more difference than the ventolin or cough syrup. And I think it's healthier too!
Look at how his legs were all propped up on Husband's. Sometime he even nongkrong on top of Husband! Eh teringat rancangan Nongkrong bersama MTV dengan VJ Sarah Sechan ! Nongkrong is certainly the coolest Jawa word ever! Haha.

Anyway I like my tudung today. Barulah semangat nak buat kerja (semua ini hanyalah alasan, I know). It's bloody new and I bought it at Dirs Gallery in Semua House. Loveee the selection of tudung at that shop!

Pardon me for my politics related post, but I can't help it. Not really a big fan of Malaysian politics, or politicians, and never even really bother about this politics thing, well not until that fateful 8 March 2008 and I am not even a registered voter (cakap je lebih ni..haha). It has been full of twist and turns and dramas, and I am thankful I still don't have to do my duty in parliament and watch that drama in front of my eyes. I am comfortable here with my internet and computer, thank you very much.

Earning money through your blog is something that I have never dream of a few years back. I mean I used to think who want to pay some dosh to anybody who blog about their life. But I guess I was wrong! This blog is helping me earn some money here and there and though it's not exactly lucrative, it does help a little, especially when I have loads of bills to pay! Anyway here's my 3-way of earning some ringgit and cents (and dollars too!).

1. Nuffnang
Now tell me, who has a blog in blogspot and does not have any Nuffnang adverts in it? Well, maybe there are a few numbers who did not have Nuffnang, but I am telling you if your visitors are mostly locals as in Malaysians, go and install Nuffnang! It might take a while to earn that first RM50 for you to cash out, but keep on promoting your blog to increase your visitors. Believe me, the higher the visitors of your website, then Nuffnang will certainly love you much much more.

2. Sponsored Reviews
I like Sponsored Reviews better than Pay Per Post, well maybe because I got a few reviews opportunities from the former. And they pay you in dollar! All you need to do is bid to write some review at their websites, and once you have been selected, you need to write the review within a certain date. They will pay through Pay Pal once you have everything completed. A very good and easy way to earn the dollar!

3. Adsense
Very easy to install especially if you are using blogspot. But word of advice, don't click your own ad as you might end up being banned by Google.

Those are 3 of my favourites. Other ways include creating your own e-book like Mommy Lyna did, sell some advertisements space in your blog, get involve in all those affiliates thingy, or have your own online business like most of you guys are doing!
